Yes, we regularly produce reports that meet local council requirements. See our services pages for more information.
Yes, our reports meet the guidelines required by the Council Arboriculture Victoria, the association of council arborists and tree managers and the Australian Standard 4970-2009 Protection of Trees on Development Sites requirements ensuring they are accepted by all planning authorities.
We will first send you a fee proposal/quotation outlining the costs associated with our services. Once we receive your written confirmation we will come and assess the trees and discuss any major/substantial issues with you. We then prepare a written report and send a hard copy to you with a CD/DVD so that you can produce multiple copies if required. For first time customers, payment in full is required prior to postage of the report.
We use TreePlotterâ„¢ a web-based GIS platform that is optimized for mobile use. This platform allows real-time access to data, this allows for efficient and clear communication between Homewood consulting arborist and our clients.
Arboricultural consultants are qualified experts with the necessary skills and experience to assess trees to provide objective information and advice on their best management. Services typically provided include tree assessments, arborist reports in relation to planning and development, tree management plans, expert witness reports and testimony, protection of trees from construction injury and tree inventories.
Many councils and legal bodies require different levels of qualifications and experience, the Australian Standard 4970-2009 Protection of Trees on Development Sites states that a person preparing a report should have a minimum Level 5 Arboriculture qualification. At Homewood Consulting, we are all minimum tertiary qualified Associate Diploma Consulting which is well above the Australian Standard. Arborists are specialists in their field and have the necessary qualifications and experience to make an informed decision about your trees. They will prepare a written report that meets the requirements of your local council. It is important to check that the arboricultural consultant you employ has the necessary qualifications and experience.
No, we do not provide tree maintenance services. Things to consider when engaging an arboricultural contracting firm are to check their qualifications (for peace of mind, a minimum of Level 4 Arboriculture is recommended), ensure that they have the necessary expertise to complete the job and ensure that they are members of the International Society of Arboriculture. Although we do not provide tree maintenance services, we can recommend the following Arborists.
